ITINERARY:

Day 1: Palangka Raya – Kruing Village – Sebangau National Park

  • Pick-up from Palangka Raya Airport or hotel by your local guide.

  • Drive around 4 hours to the village of Kereng Pakahi, the main gateway to Sebangau National Park.

  • Enjoy a simple local lunch en route or on arrival

  • Continue the journey by motorized canoe along winding Katingan Rivers to reach Karuing Village, welcome by the village elder with traditional Dayak welcome ceremony. Walk around the village to learn about the culture and daily livelyhood of the local people.

  • Continue by the motorized canoe to  Punggu Alas Guesthouse in the middle of the jungle.

  • Check-in at the simple guesthouse. Optional: a short jungle walk to explore the surroundings.

  • Dinner and overnight at the camp.

  • Night trekking or night cruising by motorized canoe to see the night life in the jungle.
