Day 1: Palangka Raya → Desa Kruing → Sebangau National Park

Meet at Tjilik Riwut Airport or hotel in Palangka Raya no later than 9:00 AM.

Overland drive (3-4 hours) to Kereng Pakahi Village.

Board a perahu ces (small motorboat) to cruise the Katingan River to Kruing Village. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a “Tapung Tawar” ritual by a Dayak elder, followed by a village walk around Kruing.

Continue to the guesthouse in Punggu Alas, check-in.

Afternoon: River cruise – spot proboscis monkeys (“bekantan”), birds, and other wildlife. If lucky, enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Katingan River.

Evening: Dinner, and a sharing session on Sebangau conservation.
Day 2: Exploring Sebangau – Peat Forest & Orangutans

Morning: Cruise peat forest canals to observe wildlife activity.

Trek through peat swamp forest, with opportunities to see signs of wild orangutans and other biodiversity.

Midday: Relax at camp, have lunch, free time.

Day 3: Punggu Alas → Orangutan Island → Palangka Raya

Return by boat to Kereng Pakahi, then transfer back to Palangka Raya.

Visit Pulau Kaja (Kaja Island) to see orangutans in their natural habitat from a klotok boat.
